Leaving the Legacy Station in Greenville

Yesterday, in a Patron Only story, FTVLive told you about a big mess at Hearst-owned WYFF in Greenville.

We heard from a number of staffers who said this is only one small part of the problem.

One staffer points to the recent departures.

-Jennifer Milhalic (Assistant News Director) - she left after 20 years to work for a PR company.

-Anne Newman (former nightside and morning EP)

-Griffin Hardy (weekend nightside met)

-Sydney Sullivan (weekend am met)

-Parella Lewis (week day "weather anchor").

One source says, “Hearst HR has been to Greenville not once, BUT TWICE to shore up the issues….”

The staff points to the departure of Morning Executive Producer, Anne Newman, who abruptly left the station.

“She was brought in from nightside to right the ship on the sinking morning show a little more than a year ago. It was supposed to be short term but they told her she was staying on the morning show. She said no thanks and walked,” a newsroom source tells FTVLive, adding, “She's a talented producer and manager the station really couldn't afford to lose.”

It’s clear there are problems in Greenville and the people we talked to aren’t sure that the suits at Hearst understand just how bad it is.

Stay tuned…
