She's Back on the Air....Kind of

Former WKYC Channel 3 meteorologist Hollie Strano is returning to the airwaves, though not on television in Cleveland. Strano announced Sunday that she is now voicing daily weather reports for radio stations in Alabama and Georgia.

"Grateful for the opportunity, and excited for what’s ahead," Strano wrote on her Facebook page.

The new role comes nearly a year after the Cleveland NBC affiliate fired her following a DUI arrest. Strano, who had been with the station for over 22 years, later filed a lawsuit claiming she was wrongfully terminated for publicly discussing her struggles with alcoholism. She will continue to be based in Northeast Ohio, where she records her podcast, “Abruptly Authentic with Hollie Strano.”
