WPLG (Miami) GM Bert Medina made a public service announcement about the station losing its ABC affiliation and going independent on Aug. 4th.
The PSA was also posted to the station’s website, which included an ad tacked on the front of it. I laughed as the ad I was served was for a Disney movie. Of course, Disney owns ABC.
It was a PSA, but WPLG still wanted to try and make money off of their announcment, by serving up an ad. You can’t make this stuff up.
