FCC: Media Companies Must End DEI

As FCC chairman Brendan Carr gets closer to approving the Skydance/Paramount deal, he has a strong message for media company looking for FCC approval.

They need to get rid of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

Carr said that ending those programs will be critical to any company seeking FCC approval. “Any businesses that are looking for FCC approval, I would encourage them to get busy ending any sort of their invidious forms of DEI discrimination,” Carr.

Many companies who who own local TV stations have shut down their DEI programs as they get ready to go on a shopping spree for more stations.
