A 180?

You might remember when Tegna agreed to sell their stations to Standard Media, but the FCC denied the sale.

At the time Bryon Allen also made an offer to buy Tegna, the a deal for sale was never reached.

Now, there is a chance (although very small) that Tegna could end up buying the Allen Media stations.

It would be a huge twist of fate.

Disclosure: I still believe that Tegna will be on the selling side and not the buying side when this all shakes out. But, in this industry, nothing would surprise me.
