As you know, WPLG in Miami will be losing their ABC affiliation.
WPLG posted a Q and A page on the transition away from ABC.
The station sums it up this way, “After months of negotiations between the Berkshire Hathaway-owned television station and the network, the two parties could not reach an agreement to extend the affiliation agreement. Despite a generous offer to ABC from WPLG, ABC will pull its programming effective Aug. 4.”
Then they have this question and answer. Screenshot:
WPLG well knows that ABC will be carried on WSVN’s sub-channel and they could have told the viewers that. But, instead, they decided to be so petty that they are going to make the viewers jump through hoops.
