/Not everyone hates the new look CBS Evening News.

Scott,
I haven’t watched CBS Evening News regularly since Dan Rather was the anchor. After I left the business, I rarely tuned in—though I occasionally watched NBC Nightly News. Lester delivered a solid broadcast, but over the past two years, I noticed the show started mimicking ABC News. Every story in the A block was labeled “Breaking News,” even if it was already 12 to 24 hours old. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but as a viewer, it felt more like hype than journalism.
I switched to CBS News when Norah left and have come to appreciate the new format. It focuses on storytelling and trustworthy journalism. Maybe that’s considered boring these days. I know it won't be long until some consultant convinces leadership to pivot back to the hype, “breaking news,” and younger, TikTok-style anchors; I’ll keep watching until then change is made and urge real journalists in the industry to do the same.
A take on the Atlanta CBS switch.

When CBS makes the switch to WUPA will the call letters change as well? WVUE was the original call sign and what the station uses now was part of the UPN family of Paramount Television Network.
In have not seen or heard of WUPA hiring staff and how long will it be before current WANF staff make it over to the CBS O/O from and independent station?
From the way I see it, WANF has or will come full circle from when it was WGNX which was part of Tribune United, an independent television station with local news.
I am sure many of the WANF staff are pissed off at this, I know I would be.
