Remember When...

Years ago in TV news, most stations used Wardrobe Consultants to help guide their on air talent when it came to what they would wear on air.

As you know, I’m not a big fan of consultants, but one TV consultant once told me something that I agreed with completely. “You should never wear anything on air that distracts from the story being told.

That is one piece of consultant advice that I think should be followed.

With that being said.

WVIT’s (Hartford) Eddie Randle is a talented Morning Anchor, who I think is destined for bigger roles in bigger markets.

But, I don’t believe that his unusual wardrobe selections, are helping him or his credibility.

He went on the news looking like Hugh Hefner answering the door at the mansion.

Remember, don’t distract.
