Carjacked!

It was a scary stop for gas for one Memphis Reporter.

A WREG Reporter Mike Suriani was carjacked at gunpoint while on assignment in Memphis. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at a gas station on a prominent city intersection.

Suriani, was approached by an individual while at a fuel pump. The assailant, who was masked, demanded the keys to the news vehicle, a white 2016 Toyota RAV4.

Suriani says the that the individual had a firearm visible.

Suriani complied, handed over the keys and the suspect drove away from the scene.

The journalist was not physically harmed during the incident.
