With Father’s Day right around the corner, we have to believe this is one very proud dad.

KCCI (Des Moines) has named their new Assistant News Director as Andrew Altenbern joins the station. 

f that name sounds familiar to older news professionals in Iowa it’s because his dad is former news director now consultant John Altenbern. John worked in local television stations both in on-air and management positions in Orlando, Tampa, Minneapolis and Cedar Rapids. John then worked for nearly ten years as a news consultant at Frank Magid Associates in Marion, Iowa before leaving to found a start-up business.
