FTVLive has been talking about AI for years and how we think the power of AI can enhance journalism and help journalists.

You often hear about the scary stories of what might happen as Artificial Intelligence moves forward, and that is certainly something to watch.

But, I want to highlight AI and the positive.

My mom passed away when I was 24 years old. My dad passed away about two decades ago.

I don’t have any brothers or sisters, and after years of moving from city to city, I have almost no keepsakes or photos of my parents.

I have my mom and dad’s wedding album, but the only photo I have of them is one taken with a Polaroid camera decades ago. It was a quick picture taken decades ago.

The other day, I grabbed my phone and took a picture of the Polaroid sitting on the counter. That’s the picture above.

I loaded it into a free online AI program and it returned a very short video of my mom and dad moving.

This didn’t happen in real life, it was all done by AI.

I’ll be honest, I’m not very sentimental, but seeing my parents together and moving was a powerful thing.

I just wanted to share the story and point out that AI is not the all evil that many make it out to be.
