Ignoring the Wave

This past weekend, I was in tiny Sebring, Florida. I’m guessing that most of you have never heard of Sebring.

It’s a tiny town dead in the middle of the state.

On Saturday, I was driving up Route 27 and saw a large group of people on the side of the road. As I reached the group, I was shocked and how many there were and how long they lined the road.

Reading their signs, I could see that it was an anti-Trump protest. This surprised me, because Sebring seems to be a conservative area, smack dad in the middle of a read state.

Yet, hear were hundreds of people, lining the street with signs protesting the President and demanding “hands off” their social security.

I turned on the news that night and I saw little coverage of this rally and so many more that happened across the state and the country.

I think the media’s failure to give this story the coverage that it deserves, is another example of how out of touch they are with the people.

This grass roots movement has a lot of steam and I’m not sure the media is even noticing that fact.
