Slamming the Corporate Owner
/Many TV ownership groups from local TV stations to networks have bended at the knee to try and please Donald Trump.
You’ve seen Nexstar do it and even CBS.
But the big talk on Monday inside and outside the halls of CBS was how CBS No. news program, 60 Minutes took a well deserved shot at their owner, Paramount.
“Paramount began to supervise our content in new ways,” the correspondent, Scott Pelley, told viewers on Sunday night.. “None of our stories has been blocked, but Bill felt he lost the independence that honest journalism requires.”
This comes on the heels of 60 Minutes EP Bill Owens quitting, due to Paramount brass meddling with the content of the program.
Hopefully, this isn’t the last time we see Journalists calling out their owners, who have laid down for Trump.
