Gone in B-More

Last month, FTVLive told you how a viewer called out CBS O&O WJZ (Baltimore) because the Anchor mispronounced the name of a local business.

In that story, FTVLive wrote, “Producers should keep an eye out and write the word out phonetically and flag it for the Anchor.”

A station insider tells FTVLive that the station let the Anchor go for the gaff.

“It caught everyone off guard. Most people feel it was an overreaction and just another sign of how bad things have gotten behind the scenes,” a station insider tells FTVLive, adding, “Management decisions feel all over the place, and there’s no clear direction.”

This certainly seems to be a bit of an overreaction by management. But, these days, it is becoming par for the course.
