Change in the Weather in Cincy

WXIX (Cincy), owned by Gray Media, continues to experience significant turnover in its weather department, with three meteorologists leaving within five months.

The latest departure, Ethan Emery, will exit in May to focus on his communications job. Ashley Smith left in January, and longtime forecaster Frank Marzullo resigned abruptly in February.

Chief Meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer, who initially planned to retire in March, has postponed his retirement twice and will now remain until August.

Former WKRC meteorologist Brad Maushart has joined Fox 19 amid the staffing changes. The station has yet to announce a replacement for Horstmeyer.
