New Boss in Lex

Gray Media has announced that Jaime Sayre Kawaja will take over as General Manager and Director of Sales for WKYT and WYMT, the CBS affiliates serving Lexington and Hazard, Kentucky, starting April 1. She succeeds Jeff Anderson, who is leaving local television for new opportunities.

Kawaja has been with Gray Media throughout her 28-year career, bringing extensive experience in sales and marketing to her new role. Beginning as an intern at WKYT, she quickly transitioned into a full-time position as an account executive. Over time, she advanced to roles such as regional, digital, and local sales manager at WKYT. She served as General Sales Manager from 2018 to 2022, before moving to West Palm Beach to lead WFLX, Gray Media’s FOX affiliate, as General Manager and Director of Sales.

Kawaja earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from the University of Kentucky. She is involved in various professional and service organizations, including Women Leading Kentucky and the National Association of Women Business Owners, and was instrumental in founding the Kentucky chapter of the American Women in Radio and Television.
