The Viewers Notice

Yesterday, FTVLive told you that CBS O&O KDKA in Pittsburgh had a new General Manager.

We told you that Julie Eisenman had been appointed as the new president and general manager of CBS Pittsburgh. In the tease, FTVLive wrote, “The station has a new leader. Hopefully, she will get more news and less dance videos and selfies out of the staff.”

On Thursday, we got this email from a longtime Pittsburgh viewer:

“Well let's hope she can steer her crew away from social media posts that are all selfies and zero information.  I don't know much about her but KDKA has IMO taken a serious hit when it comes to credibility and can hardly be taken seriously with their anchors dancing and doing cringe social media posts. 

I grew up on KDKA and to see what it has becomes is embarrassing to say the least.  In Pittsburgh it was KDKA and everyone else but lately IMO WTAE has become the station that takes the news more seriously and seems to have a handle on their anchors when it come to poor judgement on social media.  I see more posted here about KDKA and their anchor's poor judgement than WTAE and WPXI combined.  It's time KDKA goes back to it's roots and deliver news.”
