More Time With The Family
/After almost 2 decades, WHAS Chief Meteorologist Ben Pine says he is stepping away from the weather wall.
Pine is leaving the Tegna station and it is not a long goodbye. Pine says Friday is his last day.
"I want to thank you, the viewer, for allowing me into your homes for the last 17 years, and trusting our forecasts," he wrote on social media. "After a pretty difficult last couple of years (for a variety of reasons), and after very much thought and consideration, I have decided it’s time for a change, and more time with my family."
If you’re thinking about applying for Pine’s job, don’t bother, it’s already been filled. The station announced that the new Chief Meteorologist is Mallory Schnell; who just joined WHAS in November.
