The Regional News Director

As Allen Media continues to find ways to cut money from the budget, they just hired a new Regional News Director.

Lisa Burger, who had trouble reigning in the staff at one station, will now be in charge of three stations in two different states.

Here is the internal memo that was sent to the staff of KWWL, KIMT, WREX, and obtained by FTVLive.

Dear Team,

I’m excited to announce a new chapter for us here in the Midwest Region for our News Team (KWWL, KIMT & WREX). Lisa Burger will join us as our new Regional News Director starting on Monday, March 31st. She will be taking on this pivotal role, leading our news team with expertise, vision, and a strong commitment to excellence in journalism.

Lisa comes to us with an impressive background in the media industry, with most recently where she was News Director at Nexstar stations in both Sacramento & Fresno, and previously worked in San Diego and Denver. We are confident that under Lisa’s leadership, our news operations will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver top-quality content that our audience relies on.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Lisa Burger. We look forward to her fresh perspective and leadership in taking our news division to new heights.
