Want to Make $300K a Year Working in Television?

If you’re one of those that doesn’t feel like TV is paying you well enough, we might have a job for you.

And, it happens to be at a Nexstar station.

How about making $300,000 a year? Do you think you could live off of that?

Well, Nexstar’s KTLA (Los Angeles) has a job opening Morning News Producer. Now, if you’re thinking this is the job that pays $300K a year, you’re dreaming. The Producer job pays $34 an hour which is around $70K a year.

I can assure you, living in LA on $70,000 a year isn’t going to be easy. You will likely have to live well outside the city and with gas prices around $5 a gallon, the commute is going to be costly.

The job Nexstar is offering up for $300,000 a year is a “Director of Multi Platform Sales.”

Also, the last line of the job posting says, “KTLA will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Hiring Ordinance.”

So, even if you’ve served time, you can still get hired and make a livable wage.

I’m also guessing the hours and the days off are a lot better than that Morning Producer job as well.
