Gone at CBS News

I’m not sure that this will not come as a shock to anyone, but still the guy wasn’t even given a year at the CBS Evening News.

CBS Evening News Anchor Maurice Dubois took to social media that come December 18th, his anchor role at CBS News is over.

Dubois wrote

Moving On: December 18th is the day of my last broadcast at CBS News. It has been the Honor of a Lifetime. 21 years altogether, including my time at WCBS-TV in New York City. What a privilege! To be welcomed into your homes night after night, delivering the news / meeting extraordinary people and telling their stories. I’ll leave filled with gratitude, cherished relationships and amazing memories. A couple weeks to go; until then, see you on The CBS Evening News every night at 6:30.

CBS is shaking up the news division as it wants CBS News to look more like Fox News and lean to the right.

We’ll see who they pick as the next anchor of CBS News, but judging by the past few years, I don’t think the new person should get very comfortable in the role.

Just saying…
