Headed to O-Town

CBS News Texas Managing Editor Samuel Gardner III is departing the CBS Owned-and-Operated Stations group to join WFTV in Orlando, where he will serve as Managing Editor and Assistant News Director.

Gardner joined CBS News Texas in 2021 after spending seven years at CBS O&O KYW in Philadelphia. A veteran journalist with more than 25 years of experience, his career includes leadership roles in major media markets such as Charlotte, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

Gardner is scheduled to officially begin his new role at WFTV in January 2026.
