Hyping the News For Clicks

As someone that rides a lot of rollercoasters, I can assure you that sometimes, for safety reasons, the ride can and does stop.

Fox News posted an example of that, but figured they would use hyperbole to try and get clicks.

FNC starts off their post with “SCARY SIGHT: Two men were spotted holding on for dear life at…”

The two men were safely strapped into the ride with no worry of falling out. While Fox tried to say the two were “holding on for dear life.” one guy appeared to be looking at his phone.

Scaring the viewers is not the way to gain trust.
