Erika Kirk Bombs on CBS

It was supposed to be the next generation of programing for CBS News, under the leadership of Bari Weiss. Weiss was sitting down with Erika Kirk in a town hall.

This was the type of interview you would have seen on 60 Minutes in the past, but Weiss wanted control of the message.

So, how did it do in the ratings?

Not good.

The CBS primetime town hall averaged 1.5 million viewers, a whopping 20% decline in viewers compared to the year-to-date average for the hour – and an even more striking 44% decline in the 25-54 demo (237,000 A25-54).

To give you an idea, the CBS town hall ranked lower than 46 different FOX News telecasts last week.

Weiss has promised more town halls in the future.
