The General Manager at Graham Media’s WDIV (Detroit), Bob Ellis has resigned from the station, and according to an internal memo, it is effective immediately.

Now, you could have been in TV news for just five minutes to know that when the GM “Resigns”, “effective immediately”, just a couple of weeks before Chirstmas and the end of the year, there is more to this story.

Ellis has been with Graham for 30 years. You don’t quit, on a Thursday without there being more to the story.

While media companies love to talk about transparency, that almost never happens when it applies to them.
