The Tale of Two Mets

FTVLive received this email and it is a prime example of what we have often talked about. So we thought we would share.

Hello Scott, I hope this email serves you well.

I've been a fan of your site for many many years now and I'm like you in agreeing that "all about me" TV and the egos we see in this business just stinks.

One example is WPLG's Amanda Pappas, who I know you've covered before. Yep, she still has an ego and I really haven't watched her since she came here.

There is one met I'm jealous of because she's such a breath of FRESH air and actually does weather content on her socials instead of just being "all about me" and you've covered her too before... WGN's Morgan Kolkmeyer.

I wanted to share this FB clip with you. Notice that Saturday was her day off and yet, still decided to record a video from her house's basement and update her fans on a potential Chicago snowstorm this weekend. Like, she didn't have to do that at all. She could've just stay focused on her kids all day or strout her ego and have it all focused on her.

But the fact that she took three minutes out of her Saturday to update Chicagoland on FB and did so out of the blue, shows that she is amazing and such a breath of FRESH air that I wish more mets would do. Plus, she's still young in her 30s I believe. The fact she has this mindset, and cared enough about her viewers about this potential snowstorm and cared enough for them to be safe, she is just amazing. I really do commend her for doing this and whatever respect I had for her, I am now tripling it by ten.

I think this should be shared and Morgan should be praised yet again. I was already a fan of her's ever since she got to WGN but man, she is just the best. Absolutely the best.

Thanks for reading and take care!

Here is the video from Kolkmeyer and below that is WLS (Chicago) forecaster Cheryl Scott. Which one comes off more professional?
