That Didn't Take Long...
/After 15 years at WDIO (Duluth), Anchor Darren Danielson announced he will be retiring at the end of the year.
He joined the station back in 2011. “My favorite part of reporting is when the “TV” part of TV news is able to really shine,” shares Danielson. “My favorite stories are when our cameras take viewers into places that are unique, personal, emotional, inspirational, and makes viewers stop and say, ‘Woah, look at that! Turn this up, I need to watch this!’”
“We are so happy for Darren and his wife Vicki to be embarking on their great adventure of retirement,” shares General Manager Deb Messer.
While he doesn’t sign off for another month and a half, the station has already hired his replacement.
Dillon Morello is leaving the Nexstar station in Buffalo to replace Danielson’s spot on the WDIO anchor desk.
