Company Gives Up on TV News

NPG (News-Press/Gazette) is giving up on TV news in their hometown of St. Joseph, MO.  Monday, NPG announced they were farming out their local TV news operations on CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, and Telemundo stations to Heartland Media, owner of the market's only full powered station ABC affiliate KQTV.

NPG will continue to focus on their digital platform newspressnow.com and the print enditions of the St. Joseph News-Press which comes out ONLY on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This means that Heartland Media now has control of the local news on every station in the market.
