Here for You...

An FTVLive reader has a take on NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas’ sign off on the evening newscast.

It seems to be tradition for Every network evening news anchor to coin their own unique sign off. Cronkite said, “and that’s the way it is”. Murrow said, “good night and good luck”. Lester Holt said, “please take care of yourself and each other.”  New Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas seems to have chosen, “and remember, tonight and always, we’re here for you.”

Somehow I question how much NBC News is there for me though. What if I have a story idea? I don’t see a phone number on their website to call their newsroom. How about an email address if I want to share my feedback. Yeah they have some pretty good investigative work and some good consumer reporting but I just wonder how exactly they are “there for me”. I also like signing off a newscast with a simple, “we’ll see you tomorrow good night”.
