Cuts Go Down at CBS News and O&Os

Paramount employees received this internal memo from CEO David Ellison about the large cuts coming to the company.

Paramount is the parent company of CBS News was not be spared in the cuts.

CBS Saturday Morning' co-hosts Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson were laid off.

CBS ealso liminated many of their streaming programs (remember when streaming was the future?) on Wednesday as part of newsroom-wide layoffs.

The cuts also closed bureaus.

Local CBS O&Os also caught the blade. We hear that at WJZ (Baltimore), Chief Meteorologist Derek Beasley was bounced, along with an Anchor.

Dozen positions cut at Pittsburgh’s KDKA-TV, which included 3 on air positions.
