While Tegna continues to get rid of people in the rank and file, the list of Vice Presidents continues to grow bigger.

Tegna’s Adrienne Roark continues to bring her friends on board with cushy VP jobs that pay well.

The latest to join the ranks is Raquel Amparo, the former GM of the CBS O&O in Dallas.

On her social media, Amparo wrote in part, “I can’t wait to get started as the new VP of Content for TEGNA stations. I’ll be overseeing content strategy, driving innovation and supporting nearly a dozen news teams in Texas. Not to mention, the bonus of getting to work with and learn from my fellow VPs of content: Chris Peña, Julie Wolfe, Javier Morgado, Carol Fowler, Michael Valentine - and our fearless leader, Adrienne Roark.”

As one Tegna employee said to FTVLive, “I think we might soon reach a point in which we have more VP’s than employees.”

Who know if Nexstar’s deal to acquire Tegna will go through, but if it does, I think I know the first place Uncle Perry will start cutting.
