Tongues are wagging Tegna’s KSDK in St. Louis….

KSDK Morning show anchor Rene Knott wasn’t on air for the morning newscast and it was confusing to say the least. KSDK Reporter Mercedes MacKay told viewers she was filling in Knott a 21-year station veteran.

But, this appears to be a bit more complicated than that.

Management announced at a staff meetingthat Knott is no longer with the station.

Knott is not talking says he would defer to the Tegna-owned station.

In January 2024, Knott reached 20 years at KSDK, saying at the time, “It’s been a wonderful ride, and hopefully continues for another—I doubt 20 years, because I’d be like 80,” Knott said.

It all ended just a year and half later.
