Bounced in Lexington

FTVLive has done more than a few stories on WTVQ News Director Miranda Combs. Form her inappropriate posts about male talent, to naming herself the main Anchor.

We thought she crossed the line a few times and were surprised that the station kept her in the News Director role.

Now, the station has cast her aside. “The news director job has been eliminated,” Combs told the local paper.

WTVQ general manager Chris Mossman said he could not comment on any personnel matters, but that, “Russ Geller is news operations manager, working out of the Lexington station, for all of the Morris stations, effective Feb. 3.”

Geller, who joined WTVQ in 2024 as Managing Editor, leaped over his former boss to oversee all Morris stations.

Combs is looking for a new gig.
