CBS O&O's Disappear in the App Store

If you are looking for an app for one of the CBS O&O’s, you might be looking for a while.

I looked in the Google Play store for the WFOR (Miami) App, and the KTVT (Dallas) app. While both came up in the Google serach, when I clicked on the link, I got this:

A source tells FTVLive that the CBS local stations have done away with their local news apps.

Now, if you want to watch their local news, it is located in the CBS national news app.

I’m not sure this is the way to go in a hyper-local news world.

But, I’m sure it is a lot cheaper to do just one app, than a different app for each O&O.

These days, it’s no longer about news, it’s all about money.
