Former Scripps Anchor Lands in San Antonio

Ashley Paredez signed off (maybe pushed out) from Scripps KNXV in Phoenix.

The problem is when Scripps talent leaves, we never know the real story.

Word is Paredez did leave on her own, but because Scripps is not forthright with talent exits, when someone does decide to leave the station, no one really knows for sure.

Anyway, Paredez landed as an anchor in San Antonio, a station where she was interned.

Paredez is anchoring the news at Sinclair’s KABB.

Let’s go to the sound bites, which read like they were made up by the creative services department.

“We are very excited to bring Ashley home to San Antonio,“ said Sinclair VP General Manager Dean Radla.  “Her successful track record gives us every indication that she will work well with Ryan Wolf, Alex Garcia and Chuck Miketinac to continue the momentum that FOX News at Nine has built in the past few years as a leader in late news.”

“We are thrilled to bring Ashley back home to the city she loves,” said Sinclair San Antonio News Director Michelle Germano. “Our viewers will soon see how passionate she is about her San Antonio roots and how eager she is to connect with viewers.”

Anyway, despite the corny soundbites, it is good for Paredez to land back in town.
