Back in October, FTVLive told you that WFTS (Tampa) Anchor Jamison Uhler was one of the Scripps Anchors whose job had been eliminated.

As Scripps has eliminated the anchor jobs, they have been letting the talent frame their exit in a way they want. In other words, the talent can claim they are “retiring”, or “moving onto the next chapter”, etc.

I guess it is supposed to let the talent save face and not say they were basically fired. It’s not really the truthful way to do it, but this is how Scripps has been handling these job eliminations.

Uhler decided not to make up a story about why he was leaving the station and just walked away with his head held high.

He took to social media recently to tease a comeback.
