MSNBC Was the Winner in 2023

Fox News was the most-watched cable news station in 2023, but MSNBC was the real winner.

MSNBC was the only major cable news network to show growth in 2023.

2023 showed that Fox News was down 20%, and CNN was down 19%. MSNBC had a very modest 2% gain for the year.

As cable news continues to try to splinter the country, it appears that viewers are starting to grow tired of the hate thrown at the other side from cable’s talking heads.

With the 2024 election, cable news should see a bit of an uptick, but I still expect those numbers will be down from 2020.
