FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Nexstar’s KTLA had parted ways with News Director Pete Saiers.

Saiers didn’t quite make it two years at the LA station. He came to KTLA from Tegna’s KING in Seattle in mid-April of 2021.

He left suddenly on Friday, sending this email to the staff:

FTVLive heard from current and former staffers and many are not sad to see Saiers gone from the station. “Morale has never been lower he botched the entire Lynette Romero exit he has been known to bully and terrorize The Newsroom,” a current staffer said to FTVLive, adding, “He belittled the staff.”

Two former employees both said that were sad to be gone from KTLA, but both point to Saiers as their reason for leaving the Nexstar station.

No word on a replacement, but as employees are hoping that the next ND treats the staff a bit better.
