Gone In Miami...

Last week, FTVLive told you that WFOR GM Darryll Green announced to the staff that he was going to “retire” and would be leaving the station in two weeks.

Green was only at the CBS O&O for two years, and at least a few insiders believe Green was nudged out the door.

It seems odd that a GM comes to a large market station and only sticks around for a couple of years.

CBS Television Station’s President Adrienne Roark sent out this memo and announced the search is on for a new GM.

 Hello, everyone.

As you will see below, our friend and colleague Darryll has made the decision to retire at the end of this month.  Darryll has provided a steady and experienced hand during his time with us. It's also been wonderful to have him as part of our CBS Stations family as he possesses a kind soul and is someone who we all appreciate and respect.

We will begin our search for a new GM immediately. I will work closely with our department heads and team members in Miami to provide leadership until Darryll's successor is hired.

Please join me in extending gratitude and best wishes to Darryll as he transitions to what we hope will be a thoroughly enjoyable retirement.

Adrienne

We also hear the station is losing an Executive Producer.
