CNN to Chuck It...

I will admit that I was fooled….

When CNN brought on Chris Licht as the new boss, I thought he really had a goal of taking CNN back to its news roots.

I don’t think that anymore.

Licht is adding not-so-funny comic Bill Maher to the lineup, and now, word is that he is looking to add Charles Barkley.

While I enjoyed watching the round mound of rebounds play basketball, and Barkey is fine as an NBA analyst on TNT, what the hell is he going to do at CNN?

Licht believes that Barkley could host a news-oriented primetime show.

How about hiring real Journalists with real experience and not trying to make CNN some sideshow featuring non-news talent from the sister networks?

I really had hopes that Licht would revive the cable news channel.

As I said, I was fooled…
