Legal Letters Flying in Motown

Back in October, FTVLive told you that Motown’s WADL had yanked Nexstar’s CW programming from the station, saying that Nexstar had not paid the station any money.

Nexstar is in the process of buying WADL through its sidecar company, Mission Broadcasting.

While waiting for FCC approval, Nexstar has not paid any money to WADL for carrying The CW programming, and WADL owner Kevin Adell yanked The CW off the station.

Nexstar cut a side deal with Scripps-owned WXYZ/WMYD to air The CW on WMYD TV20.

Adell is crying foul and has WADL lawyers drafting a cease and desist letter to Scripps.
