KPRC (Houston) Reporter Amy Davis has been covering a story about how Houston residents have been dealing with water issues and billing issues for the past 18 months.

Davis has tried to talk to Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s comments on the issue, but Turner has been ducking Davis and her questions.

Davis showed up at an event to try to speak with the Mayor. Turner, again, ducked Davis’ questions and called her “rude,” and then added “Amy, you are very rude! Let me finish. You came to me now. you’re interrupting this event that deals with a specific subject matter. I don’t appreciate that, and so I will not be talking to you,” said the Mayor.

No, Mayor, you’re rude. You’re also not answering the public that elected you to office.

Davis is doing her job, and you’re blowing her off.

You want to call a Reporter who is just doing her job “rude,” go right ahead, but as a public servant, you need to answer the questions.

The people of Houston deserve a better leader.
