Ugh....
/Jonathan Polin is the father of an American who was killed in the attack on Israel. Hersh Golberg-Polin, 23, sent heartbreaking and disturbing texts to his parents just before his phone lost signal in the attack at a rave.
Almost two weeks ago, Polin posted on his Facebook about a bike ride that he does each year in support of a local pediatric hospital.
He didn’t know how drastically his life would change when word of the attack in Israel came down.
ABC Good Morning America staffer Miles Cohen jumped on that biking post to tell Polin that he sent him a message and hopes he’s “hanging in there.”
Sending a private message asking for a potential interview or information is fine.
But, raising your hand in public like “LOOK AT ME!” and telling a dad that lost his son that he hopes he’s “hanging in there” is beyond insensitive.
I also think Polin has enough going on that he’s not back reading comments about his charity post.
Be better.
