How Do You Not Follow Up on That?

Brian Kilmeade, better known as the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy on Fox News, brought on Senate candidate and serial liar Herschel Walker on to Fox News to try and prop him up.

Kilmeade even got the people on location to cheer for Walker when he introduced him.

But, if you were looking for substance, you weren’t going to get any.

Kilmeade did ask (and also tried to provide the answers for Walker” as to why he won’t commit to a debate with his Democratic rival, Senator Raphael Warnock.

This is what Walker responded with and I urge you to read this closely:

“Well, first of all, Senator Warnock has nothing else to talk about,” Walker answered. “He don’t want talk about the high gas prices, he don’t want to talk about high groceries. I’ve told him many times I’m ready debate him any time, any day. I just want to make it for the fans, not about a political party or some media, and all they are doing is talking. I want to make it a fair and equal debate for the people.”

Huh?

First off, he says, “I just want to make it for the fans”. You’re running for Senate not running on a football field.

Also, he starts off his answer by saying, “Senator Warnock has nothing else to talk about",” but then he says seconds later, “all they are doing is talking”

The answer made no sense and instead of asking about this gibberish, Kilmeade tries to coax Walker in what he feels is the right direction. Kilmeade asks if Walker is “worried about the moderator”, in other words, the debate would not be fair, because the moderator would be biased.

But Walker did catch on that Kilmeade was trying to help him out he denied that it had anything to do with the moderator.

Walker then comes back with more gibberish:

“I’m willing to cross the aisle and talk to him about who’s going to host this debate, not do it on his terms, but do it on the terms that the people can see the contrast between he and I, where I don’t want men in womens’ sports. I’m not gonna have that. I don’t wanna see high gas prices. I wanna see the crime stop. Those are things he voted for which he don’t want to admit, so he needs to answer to that because the Georgia people are talking. They want him to answer questions, not just hearing him to continue to talk to the media.”

Read what he said again and you can see it just this guy is making no sense.

Now, you might expect a Journalist to unpack what he said and try and break it down with follow-ups. But, Kilmeade is not anything close to a Journalist and he then adds, “So you will debate him, you just want to make sure the rules and the moderator is something you wanna have a say in?” Kilmeade said.

No, that is not what he said Brian, in fact, he didn’t say anything like that. But, that is what Kilmeade wanted him to say, so that’s what Kilmeade said he said.

It’s like watching an episode of the three stooges, but one stooge didn’t show up.
