Bucking the Trend in Decatur

It appears that WAND (Decatur, IL) was not following the other stations by obsessing on Ice Cream, instead it was Chicken Wings.
The female Anchor said that Friday is a “very important national holiday, it’s national chicken wing day.”
Her co-anchor did step in and said, “I don’t know if it was a national holiday, but it’s a pretty important national day.”
The fact that this woman thought the day ranked up there with MLK Day, Veteran’s Day, and Easter is showing us where we are in local TV news right now.
They then went on to eat wings on the air, which I’m sure kept viewers riveted to their TV’s.
But hey, at least it wasn’t ice cream.
