FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that former CNN Anchor Christi Paul was going to join Tegna station WKYC in Cleveland.

FTVLive FIRST reported last month that Paul was headed from cable news to local news.

Yesterday, FTVLive told you that WKYC this/close to announcing Paul’s hire and it could come as early as today (yesterday).

Not long after FTVLive posted that story, guess what happened?

WKYC announced that Christi Paul is joining 3News this fall as the CNN anchor returns home to Northeast Ohio. Christi will anchor and share reports during the early evening news block that includes WKYC’s 5pm and 6pm broadcasts in addition to contributing content across all shows and digital platforms.

“WKYC is a station I grew up watching and tuned into every time I visited home,’’ Paul said. “Who knew it would become a full-circle moment now? I'm beyond grateful I'm getting a chance to come home & work with this most amazingly talented team.”

FTVLive breaks the news while the other guys just wait for the press release to come out a month later.
