The Incident Report

A couple of weeks ago, FTVLive told you that WOIO (Cleveland) Meteorologist Jon Loufman was in the hospital after being badly beaten.

Both Loufman’s son and wife were arrested in the incident.

Julia Loufman, 66, was arrested for obstruction, and his son Daniel Loufman, 32, was arrested for the assault.

Joulia was held on $30,000 bond and her bond was posted and she is out of jail.

Daniel Laufman appears to still be behind bars as his bail has been set at $1 million bucks.

On July 9th, the Bay Village Police were dispatched to Loufman’s for a report of a male in cardiac arrest. Officers arrived and found that the male in question, Jon Loufman, had been physically assaulted. Loufman was able to communicate that he was attacked by his adult son, Daniel Loufman.

Bay Village Officers spoke to the victim’s wife, Julia Loufman who was on the scene. She was taken into custody for questioning and later charged with Obstruction of Official Business. An arrest warrant was issued for the victim’s 32-year-old son who was taken into custody early the next morning.

In the police incident report on file, it reads in part:

(7/9/2022 1741 hrs) I along with Off. Marzan were dispatched to assist Bay Village Paramedics with a male in full cardiac arrest at 31363 Roberta. Investigation revealed that the male had been seriously assaulted and was semi-unconscious and barely able to speak.

On July 18th, WOIO posted that Loufman was out of the hospital and is expecting to return to work. The station said that he is making an extraordinarily quick and complete recovery, with nothing more than a bit of fatigue holding him back - as he expected.
