It Gets Better...

There is no doubt that TV news is not the most stable line of work.

Lately, we have seen a lot of people leaving this business.

Sometimes, people get in this business just because they want “to be on TV” and then when they found out the hours suck and they pay is not that great, they leave.

To those people, obsessed with posting selfies and not substance, I say good riddance.

But, there are also good people that have grown frustrated with the business and have up and left.

WDIV (Detroit) Reporter Mara MacDonald posted a message on her social media that addresses this issue and I think she hit the nail on the head.
