ABC’s Ginger Zee made her trek in her Tesla from New York City to Detroit to show people that traveling in an electric car is doable.

Zee is focusing on electric vehicles as part of ABC’s Earth Day coverage.

On a footnote, FTVLive has owned electric cars since 2013 and we currently own two electric cars. I have a Chevy Volt and a Tesla and I can tell you that I use the Tesla for all my trips. I have driven from Florida to North Carolina and to Atlanta, along with all over the state of Florida.

I can honestly say that it is the best car I have ever had and traveling in it is a delight. Charging is quick and easy and the fact that the car drives itself is awesome. After a long drive in the Tesla, I feel so much more refreshed due to the fact I didn’t have to drive.
