Former Fox News Employee Arrested for Helping Russia

If you are hoping that it was Tucker Carlson….we’re sorry.

Yesterday, the Department of Justice revealed that Jack Hanick wasarrested in London on Feb. 3 for dodging U.S. sanctions by helping a sanctioned Russian oligarch, Konstantin Malofeyev, start his right-wing Tsargrad TV.

The indictment accuses Hanick of lying to FBI agents about his travels to Greece and Bulgaria to expand the TV network in 2015 and 2016, when he was interviewed by American investigators last year in New York City.

Hanick got his start at Fox News when it first launched in 1996. Fifteen years later, in 2011, he left.

His role at Fox News when he was there has not been confirmed. Fox News did release a statement saying he did not work on Sean Hannity’s show, but did not say where he did work in the company.
